Self Love Sewing Challenge: Staple Sweater

This is my last post for The Self Love Sewing Challenge and I am so thrilled with how many took part. I had more planned, but my sewing machine apparently needed a break from all my sewing. 40 items were made in the month of February. Yes, 40! Now about 1/3 was for my daughters and a good dozen items were undergarments, but I am so happy with how productive I was for myself. I made things that made me happy, that fit me well, and that served purpose even if it was just my whimsy & vanity.

The last item is a very necessary, basic that I am going to love the F out of. This black and white sweater knit has been begging to be a v-neck sweater. I finally found the perfect deep V in the Primrose pullover from Cali Faye. The V originally goes in the back, so I switched the neck pieces on the pattern. I also wanted a full sleeve so I added length and made the cuff smaller to fit my wrist. I left off bands because the length was already crazy in this fabric. I love it too much. It is cozy, comfy, basic and the perfect modern touches that I like in my current closet. I need quite a bit more of these in some basic colors. Isn’t it just the perfect sweater? Another win to throw over leggings when I don’t want to fuss with jeans on my lazy days.

I am keeping the link party open until noon March 2nd since I have had issues interfere in my timing.
