Who doesn’t love a good challenge and an excuse to sew? Sarah Jane put out a call for an Easter dress challenge using her Sommer fabric line. I was in love with the collection when I saw it so I knew I had to join in.
I am a sucker for a good cobalt or royal blue, so the blueberry colorway stood out the most. I was eyeballing the bunny floral in that colorway but my trusty Mama Made and Beautiful sold out of it. I got the blueberry swan lake and the bunny. Then I ordered the gray gingham double gauze on etsy. I was not sold on my design at first, but when I made my sketch with the swatches, I knew I had a winner.
I used the Amour top from Filles a Maman
and hacked it to be a halter and attached it to the Festival skirt from Striped Swallow Designs. I left off the ruffle but curved the overskirt. I love the breezy summer look I got with this combo.
Thanks for stopping by and stay rebellious!
