Suit Up For Summer Tour

I have grown to love making swimsuits after getting over the fear of working with Lycra. It is a lot of fun and really fast once you get comfortable. I started making swimsuits 2 years ago and have not looked back.

I used fabric from Imagine Gnats to make my 11 year old a trendy, tween friendly swimsuit. It is 2 pieces, but has a look of a one piece.

The top was self drafted and it was a bit trickier to figure out, so we had a make it work moment when we had to make it tighter after the binding was already on.

The bottoms are the Peach Beach Bikini bottoms from Lil Luxe Collection and we added a coordinating lace ruffle to the front panels.

She was so excited for the final result.

And I thought it was age appropriate and fun without being too mature, but hey, let’s face it, the adults would love this too.
