Where are my fabric hoarders? Have you ever bought fat quarters because they were beautiful, but not clue what to do with it? Well this skirt is the perfect project to showcase one of those gorgeous fabrics. This skirt takes 1 fat quarter, and then another contrasting fat quarter for the band for sizes 2-6. That is all!
This project is also perfect for budding sewcialists! I know my daughter would love to learn how to make one. My favorite part of this is the skirt casing for the elastic because you can put it on the inside or use it as a contrast on the outside. My elastic was the wrong size so i improvised and put my casing on the outside. I love the extra pop it gave.
Ok, the other best part? Perfect nap time project. This can easily be finished in under an hour. And I plan on making a few more for my little girls while I can. I think this is a perfect project to showcase some fun fabrics like I ended up choosing some spring pantone colors.
You could win a Fat Quarter Skirt Kit, mailed anywhere in the world! PLUS we’ll be giving away 3 Fat Quarter Skirt Patterns as well. Giveaway open from March 5-12, 2017 at midnight EST.
